I've been horribly busy lately that i haven't gotten any free time on the computer to blog or even do my regular things like catching up on blogs, youtube and tumblr (although some might say that my tumblr seems a little pointless seeing as it is full of funny pics and gifs only, but i end up saving the pictures i do find inspiring into a little folder on my computer)
Ever since i took the group pictures for my friends band 'Vander' i've been asked by them to be their official band photographer =D
it makes me ecstatic knowing i've got a lot more gigs coming my way!! and i must say that i do need the practice. live performance photos are horribly frustrating..
i seriously do admire all the people who end up taking such amazing photos of live bands..
i dont know how they can run around the front of the stage trying to get all the band members while all the screaming fans are pushing and shoving you around..
not to mention the lighting being so shitty..
i sorta hate being a little asian in situations like these... i seriously got shoved around so much that night!!
But im quite happy with the results.
They were amazing live!!!
Although they didn't win the final round of the battle of the bands for $5000, this isn't the last of them :)

the day before our trip to Moree i was able to hang out with my girly girls Kerrie and Stella
Stella was helping me bake macarons!
Sadly enough, i don't have any pictures of the macarons that isnt a penis..
And they still failed..? i think its the humidity around my area that stops it from being 100% perfect.
After our baking adventures Dave and i packed for our weekend trip to the north.
this is where all the little things come in handy =D yay.
We traveled to Moree, 8-10 hours away from Sydney.. (the worse bus ride ever...) because Daves dad had heard of hot mineral baths they had there and how great they are suppose to be.
The artesian spas consisits of 3 large pools of different temperatures, one of which i think wasnt a mineral one. a kids pool and a giant lane pool which was too cold for us to jump into.
Annie was too small to enjoy the hot water pools because she boiled too fast.. so we ended up staying in the cooler pools with her.
The fantastic thing about the trip was the weather was amazing compared to the weather we've been having back in Sydney. it was nice to get away from all that.
for lunch we wondered around Moree, there isnt much there.. everything was closed due to the long weekend, i guess people might even be heading into sydney for the weekend :P
But we found some cute little piwi kiwis!! they are so small!!!
and very very sweet..
and all that for only $1 at the organic shop. so cheap!! :)
We ate out at a cafe for lunch the first day we were there.
they had amazing food!!!!!
Bolognase
Lasagna with chips and salad
and the T-rex streak.
the food was sooo nice!! the pasta sauce was so rich.. (it got a little too much by the end and was a little hard to eat)
but they had the best mushroom sauce!!! yummo.
the service was super friendly and they kept telling everyone that they were closing at 2pm, but still let everyone in and enjoy their food without pushing them to hurry and leave..
i guess that's the difference between Sydney and outback, everyone is always in a rush in Sydney.. but you never need to rush here in Moree.. cause there's nothing to do =/ and there isn't as much people.
its really relaxed.. also, the houses there are dirt cheap.
For dinner we went to the Thai restaurant that was recommended to us by the motel staff.
Annies food.. man that kid barely eats..
Beef massaman curry, a little too sweet for my liking..
seafood tom yum
i saw this on the menu and was quite curious.. so was daves mum..
"lets see how sexy it really is"
and thats what we got.. it was the best dish for me cause it had heaps of veges.
And we went home for home made desserts :)
The next day our sickness got the best of us so me and dave skipped out on going to the mining area and stayed home to catch up on some rest.. (i stayed up coughing till the sun rose.. cause it wasnt cold anymore)
but daves parents came home with little gifts for me :)
Gemstones!! i have no idea how much they are worth.. she mentioned them being $50? or something along that line.. (not too expensive she said.. ><)
and got me this for my early bday present. she said there wasnt anything that nice there and this was the only one that was popular because if you shine it in the sun you can see stars..
the camera didnt pick up the stars.. but its pretty mesmerizing..
i showed my mum when i got home, and she had completely forgotten that it was my birthday soon! :(
but its okay.. shes the type that forgets stuff like that.. only because she makes everyday sorta special for us anyways :)
After another dip in the pool.. (oddly enough, wasn't affecting our health too much) we went to a Chinese steak house!!! i was so happy cause i totally hate Chinese food now.. no offense..
but when we got closer to the shop we realise that the little flower next to the chinese and steak house wasnt a flower!! it was '&'!!!!!
then when we walked in.. there was no steakhouse to be found!
but it didnt matter, at least it was something that daves dad would be able to eat since his on a strict vegetarian diet now.
We ended up ordering 3 entrees, 3 mains and fried rice.
i had the short soup.. which was frozen wontons in chicken broth with spam pieces..
dave had sweetcorn and crab meat soup.. but the crab meat was imitation.
and Daves mum and i stared a prawn cocktail.. which was also frozen prawns..
and you know, this would have one of the worse chinese places we've been too.
the food took so long to make.. and when it did come out.. they weren't even fresh. i dont get what took so long.. and it wasnt because they were serving the other 3 tables around us.. because they were also waiting with their little kids.. licking at the sweet and sour sauce because nothing was coming out.
after around 40 mins of waiting we asked them weather or not they had made our mains yet so we can ask them to make everything take away because daves dad needed to be asleep soon.
but they didnt make anything yet.
its the weirdest thing going into a chinese place.. and not having fresh food served to you within 5 mins.
the next day was another horrible bus ride home.. but we also made a stop at hunter valley to get some wine.

i had to cram this entry because i've seriously been too busy to blog.
i am also off to another trip with one of my other besties Tina! and her lovely boyfriend Daryl :)
So i'll leave off with the recent work i've been doing and my small progress.
i decided to try to take a picture of water drops..
It was horribly hard because i dont have a working tripod.. (i have 2.. but one is lost? and the other one is broken... but either way, they aren't as good enough to hold up an DSLR anyways)
But i dont think i did too bad :)
And then i tried to pour water into a martini glass..
And after about 100 shots of i get 7 average pictures..
But again, i am happy with what i've accomplished.
During the week i've also had a request for a photoshoot.. which i am in the process of editing..
and i made a little something for the model and her boyfriend :)
But i seriously did wish i had more time.. because there are so many lovely shots that i want to brighten up
Anyways, should sleep.. Snow trip tomorrow!!!!
xox Nat
