The meeting point

Macarons are the only things i havent gotten a hang of yet and it angers me so much!!!!
but i finally made some that didn't immediately go flat.
i must admit, they tastes better than they look :)
I can make an amazing ganache but when it comes to the shells, im so horrible :(
as long as everyone else likes them, thats all that matters
And some white chocolate and berry tiramisu. Yummo :)

Yesterday Kerrie and i drove all the way to Bondi beach to have a little work out session.
And now I'm going to spam everyone with a buttload of photos of the beach. it was just so beautiful i couldn't resist going camera crazy.
The world if full of natural beauty, i'd preferred to be outdoors watching this than indoors on a treadmill :P

The MeetingPoint

So yesterday after the long walk on the beach Albert treated me to a free dinner at The Meeting Point.
I've walked past this place so many times and because of how cute the little sign was and the name, i've always been curious of this place, so I'm so glad i was able to get a chance to try it out as well as having a nice long catch up session with one of my closest male friend :)

So what Albert had done was he had gotten a prepaid discount voucher off the internet on those discount website (i dont exactly know which one, he couldnt remember)
And essentially he paid around $60 for a 3 course meal which included 2 appitisers, 2 shabu shabu with meat of choice, 2 desserts and a bottle of red or white wine.
I'm not sure how much the whole set would cost originally but i will include the individual prices :)
Bottle of red wine, (no price on the online menu)
Stewed mix sampler ($10.8)
Deep fried mixed sampler ($10.8)

The Shabu shabu, its pretty much a hotpot, or steamboat.
We got the Signature Collagen Shabu Shabu ($18.8)
and the Hot and Spicy Shabu Shabu ($16.8)
 With pork ($8)
and Beef ($12)

Im not sure if it originally came with all the other sides such as the veges and fish balls? or they just gave us a special one.
but it was so much food!!!
the hot and spicy one was really different from normal spicy dishes, but i think it can actually be called hot and spicy due to the fact that it also has so many other spices in it other than just chilli.
but a fair warning.. it really is different. it tasted like a chai masala to me.
 Passionfruit green tea ($4.8)
Fresh Taro Sago ($5.8) This was so good!! i didnt want to share it with albert.
Strawberry/Kiwifruit Shaved Ice with Ice Cream (small - $6.8)
This was a big miss for us. it was just a snowcone with very odd sugar syrup.. and oddly caramlised/marinated fruit. it was too sweet and gooy

the only other problem we had with this place was that there were a couple of fruit flies flying around us, one happened to land and get stuck to a piece of raw meat. but we told the waiter and they were super nice about it. too concerned actually cause it didnt bother us that much.
but other than that everything else was very nice :) the service was friendly, the ambiance was great and the food was good.
however, our table was a little small, but they did have an extra cart beside us. it'd be nicer if they had bigger tables instead tho.
We spent about 3 hours there just chatting, it was a great place to relax.

i loved that the music wasn't loud that we couldn't hear each other, but loud enough that no one else could hear all the embarrassing things we were talking about

But it was great :)
