Churros and Souffle!
One of Daves future dreams involves a scene in 'Cougar Town' which mentioned that one of the characters 'Bobby' only had beer and churros in his fridge.
That's Daves dream fridge.. LOL!
so i decided to make him some churros :) kinda like the ones from 'San Churros' only with a rich caramel sauce.
There is this thing that has been happening lately since Dave and i have been together that drives me crazy! and thats the fact that every time i make something, something ALWAYS goes wrong..
Its horrible, and it makes him think that im a horrible cook :(
But something always goes wrong.
The recipe i used ended making so much!!!!
it got to the point where the little pot we were deep frying the churros in started to bubble out of control, i didnt know what to do about the bubbling so i flew on it, and well.. it was oil.. so it splattered everywhere! and still over flowed and the stove caught fire.
So Dave quickly moved the pot out of the way and flew out the fire before the smoke alarms would go off.. lol..
And i only made enough sauce you see in the little shot glass compared to how much churros i ended up making :(
But it was a success! (sides the fire.. lol)
Ingrediants included: Flour, Butter, Sugar, Cream, Eggs, Water and cinnamon. all of which i already had at home.
I hate churros tho... LOL im not a fan..
so i decided to make something else for myself as well. :)
Chocolate Souffle!!! LOOK AT IT!! LOOOKKK!!! it rose!!!
i made 2, this one i didn't fill up to the top, so im quite happy that it rose about an inch. and the other one rose so much that it over flowed..
still, i swear that is such an amazing feeling..
now i feel i can make ANYTHING!!!! o_O
Om nom nom..
Ingredients included: 70% dark chocolate, eggs, castor sugar, cream.. i think thats it? lol..
I only needed to buy dark chocolate and thats it.
very cheap dessert for the night :)
