Jiselle turned 1 on new years eve, but the party was moved to the 1st as everyone was busy celebrating their own new years.

On the 2nd we were suppose to be heading to the beach with Lisa at Maroubra but something came up and we ended up at Wollongong..

Kev was there with his friends fishing, and we were bored since we werent able to get into the water due to the fact that it wasnt a swimming beach, we started playing with the fishes..
While Albert was napping in the sun. the weather was perfect, the sun kept us warm and the strong winds stopped us from burning like a marshmallow.
i then drew profanities on his back.

Loc had a small BBQ at his place for a few of his mates, Dave and i came to visit after i had finished work

Near Dave's work there is this little japanese place called Kagen.
California Roll, $12
Octopus balls
Grilled chicken bento box $18, i love this, it has 7 sides to it including rice, fried Ebi, fried scallop?, scorched salmon sushi, seaweed salad, japanese green salad, fried beef? and miso soup. Well worth the price.
Sashimi, $12

Beef and reef grill $25
2 wagyu beef skewers, 2 king prawns, lamb cutlet and an oyster served on chips.
Everything was so good!
Dave comes here pretty often for work and said that the service changes, sometimes the food is made quickly and everything comes out fast. but other times he has to wait and get back to work late.. so i guess it just depends weather you'll be lucky enough to have the good staff.
Overall, best tasting fresh Japanese food for an affordable price, highly recommended

While we were on the rock, this big giant flying bug attacked us! it kept flying around biting us! the 3 of us were screaming, hitting each other and acting like crazy people while everyone else on the beach watched as 3 weirdos were beating each other up over the head with floaties.. after about 15 minutes of that we finally killed it.. it was a giant botfly..
Soon after Kev came back with the others :) and we had a nice little play in the water
We didnt stay too long but after a while we went home and everyone went over to kevs place for a BBQ while i went on a little girls date with kerrie to V-Loung
And honestly my impression of V-Loung has skyrocketed
i ordered the seafood pasta for 16$
i ended up getting 8 prawns and a lot of squid.. still though, 8 prawns for 16$ is not bad at all.
and kerrie got the fried ice cream for $12
and if you take a close look at the ice cream, you'll notice that its not the home brand ice cream every other shop uses. its gelato! Thats my guess at least seeing as its pale in colour.
that, and i know every other shop uses home-brand, that's why i feel stupid paying $15 for fried ice cream from holy basil when they make it for less than $1 each serving.
Christmas presents!!!
This year i didnt get as much presents.. but im not complaining :) i also didnt give out as much presents as i did last year as well.
first of all! my present from Dave
i was being a bitch and complained about not getting something shiney so he went out to buy me a Christmas tree charm, but because they ran out, he ended up getting me a banana..
and suprised me with the christmas tree the next day (after i complained about how weird it is getting a banana for Christmas.. lol)
My boss got me something from Gucci..
But i cant use it.. =(
i appreciate it so much, i do.. just i feel like its completely wasted on me.. haha
im allergic to perfume and i dont want to give it to my mum cause I've already given her about 10 new perfumes after coming back from Vietnam..

On our trip to the zoo, my dad bought me a seal.. but i already had the seal! so we traded it in for an elephant =D
but it was really nice to know that my dad knew i liked seals.. haha
It was my first time trying Sizzler! Im pretty sure most people have already tried it once or twice already but we never actually gotten around to it till now.
The waitress told us what they were famous for was their salad bar which was all you can eat.
Dave bought the steak and calamari ($31)

The food here was pretty descent, but it seems like a place i'd go or only for special occasions with people.
