THIS WEEK HAS BEEN AMAZING!!!
this week is chinese new year (which is also viet as well.. but the white people call it Chinese cause they are racist.. lol)
anyways, this week makes me so proud to be Vietnamese and even more proud to be Asian.. there is just so much cultural around us!
im going to rush this cause im really busy
i had the day off on Tuesday because its my normal day off, and on Wednesday and Thursday because little star was closed for Chinese new year =)
tuesday i had to go to my tafe and pick up a timetable.. it was sooo hot!! this weeks been around high 30-mid40 degrees! we ended up in the city to eat with mike, diaz and jamie, and to catch up as well.
we left around 5 and tired as much to rush home to still be able to catch the beach.. but because of so many random delays we got the the beach at 9pm.. it wasnt hot by then but still sorta humid..
and went to the city to eat again, and this was the first time i tried korean bbq!
we at at a place called 'Dae Jang Kum' which is right next to mamuk..
this place closes at 4am on weekdays, 6am on friday and sat.. and 2am on sunday so if you want some late night korean bbq then come here!
the next day we went swimming!! i didnt bring my camera anywhere that day.. so i have no photos =(
at night i went to eat with my sister and her family. we ate at iron chef.. Michael ordered soo much food for us, there is only 4 adults and 1 child and he ordered a 2kg lobster, fish, a dozen oysters, abalone, fried tofu, a mushroom dish.. fried rice.. and im pretty sure there was more.. but he is soo nice, i was able to order whatever i wanted.. but i only wanted oysters..
that day was chinese new year n they had the lion dancers come in and preform. it was so amazing! i've always loved lion dancing when i realised what it was.. i was waching a performance a while back then this lion grabbed a lettuces head, ate it then spit it all out to share! i dont think that sounded as nice as i thought.. but it just seemed like in those stories.. he was the lion that saved some people from going hungry.. lol
on thrusday was our trip to jervis bay..
this was a little spontaneous cause me n steve never had a day off together till now. we got ready n left around 8-9am for a long 3 hour drive in my tiny car..but it was well worth it. after asking around for good snorkling locations and getting myself stuck in the toilet for over 2 minutes.. we headed to the first beach, hyams beach.
these beaches are even better than the northern beaches.. sand is sooo tiny it doesnt stick to you as much, water was soooo nice! n we saw everything in the first beach!
there was a lot of seaweed tho, n i am very very scared of seaweed..
there are also videos that i'll upload later
the second beach was green patch
this was our favorite beach..
this beach looked like a dream beach
the third beach, murry beach
the forth beach stoney creek, which is like a rock pool, which is protected by a wall of natural rocks and corals but still fed by the sea.
this beach was so scary.. there were sea urchins everywhere.. steve got stung by one.. there were also heaps of broken 'cone fish' shells so we didnt stay long at the beach..
ended up driving home, showering then getting back to the city for some more korean bbq
Friday!! i had work! we were flat out busy cause ken and quine werent there at the time.
but we got everything done by midnight and off to the homo fomo we go!
foam party at Arq, the gay club!
it was an awesome night, everyone got felt up.. LOL! it was a first for a lot of them..
we ended our night at 5am.. getting home at 6.. havent been out this late from the city in so long.
and now im off to the vietnamese festival, williams birthday dinner then daves family dinner.. woo..
